Olera stores saved memory records, recent screens and bookmarks on your device. Apple or Google sign-in can provide your name, email and account identifier; Olera keeps these locally. Google Calendar authorization tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. Olera does not maintain a server-side conversation database.
To answer a question, Olera sends the prompt, recent conversation, attached photos and relevant saved records or connected calendar events through our Cloudflare backend to Anthropic (Claude), or to Google Gemini when that provider is configured. Calendar events can include titles, times and locations. These requests may contain personal information you choose to include. The updated app asks for your explicit permission before sending AI requests.
The backend forwards requests and does not intentionally store prompt bodies. Providers process requests under their own policies, including any retention they require. Model or search tools may send relevant search terms to Apple Maps, Pexels, TMDB or the model provider's search service. Loading search results and remote images also connects to those services.
Dictation uses Apple's Speech framework. With your microphone and speech permissions, audio may be processed by Apple; recognition is not guaranteed to happen entirely on the device. Olera sends the resulting text, not raw microphone audio, to its AI backend. Photos are shared with the model only when you attach and send them.
Olera does not request your contacts or GPS location. You may include places in prompts or calendar events. Network providers receive connection metadata such as IP addresses, which may indicate an approximate location.
Olera sends product-usage events to PostHog in the EU using a random installation identifier. Events describe app actions, such as sign-in or a generated screen, and may include product identifiers. They do not include prompt text, photos, your name or your email. This is pseudonymous usage data, used to understand and improve app reliability. Olera includes InfluTo to measure creator referrals and attribute existing purchases when available. In the updated app, InfluTo starts only after you allow tracking through Apple's permission prompt. InfluTo receives an installation identifier, device and app information, language, time zone, screen information and connection metadata such as IP address. Purchase synchronization can send Apple's signed transaction information, including product, transaction and purchase details. This information supports referral measurement and purchase validation. We do not send your prompts, photos, calendar events, name or email to InfluTo. InfluTo privacy policy.
Local deletion does not erase requests or analytics already processed by external services. Contact us about access, correction or deletion requests, and consult the linked provider policies for their retention and privacy controls. Removing Olera can remove its local records; back up your device before reinstalling if you need to preserve them.
